"The practice of medicine is an art, not a trade; a calling, not a business; a calling in which your heart will be exercised equally with your head. Often the best part of your work will have nothing to do with potions and powders, but with the exercise of an influence of the strong upon the weak, of the righteous upon the wicked, of the wise upon the foolish.” - Sir William Osler

Tract Record.
They want me to be a tutor, and to lend my knowledge to the first semester. I doubt I'll be able to entertain such altruism, due to the simple fact that I've spent a week now on a single lecture: spinal cord and tracts. For the sake of the ascending and descending sensory and motor pathways and external brain anatomy - for the sake of undestanding olives and almonds (nuclei, I swear) and where things go - I have neglected the kidneys and the abdominal cavity. Sorry, first semester.
