"The practice of medicine is an art, not a trade; a calling, not a business; a calling in which your heart will be exercised equally with your head. Often the best part of your work will have nothing to do with potions and powders, but with the exercise of an influence of the strong upon the weak, of the righteous upon the wicked, of the wise upon the foolish.” - Sir William Osler

Robot
I feel like one - my routine has become mechanical. I can't think of any witty spark to fill this post; I'm quite boring right now, actually. I'm pulled between acid-base physiology, supracolic viscera in anatomy, cranial nerves in neuroscience, and the oral cavity in histology. That's all I am right now - a collection of facts similar to a barely legible notepad, jotted down in a feverish rush lest those precious factoids flutter away like a small flock of startled sparrows. Only I'm not going anywhere, except home to sleep and back to class.
